March 15, 2023 Laudio Welcomes Intermountain’s Heather Brace and Atrium Health’s Maureen Swick to Strategic Advisory Committee

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Laudio, the leadership operations solution for healthcare, announced the addition of two distinguished leaders to its Strategic Advisory Committee: Intermountain’s Heather Brace (Chief People Officer) and Atrium Health’s Maureen Swick PhD, MSN, RN (retiring Enterprise Senior Vice President of Nursing and Pharmacy). The nine-person committee helps shape and guide Laudio’s strategic priorities to ease the burden for health system leaders by best supporting their key pillars.

“We’re excited to welcome Heather and Maureen to the team. Their unique experiences and expert viewpoints will help us best serve the clinical and operational needs of health system enterprises,” said CJ Floros, Laudio’s Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Brace is responsible for Intermountain’s engagement culture for more than 59,000 employees spanning across seven states, with strategic oversight for talent management and development, recruitment, culture enhancement, learning and development, and integrating diversity and inclusion in the employee culture. Added Brace, “I’m passionate about empowering leaders and employees at every level to meet their full potential. It’s exciting to work with a company like Laudio because they center their work on their users’ experiences.”

With nearly 40 years of experience in health care, Swick served on Atrium’s Executive Council and represented nearly 20,000 nurses across the organization to ensure consistency in nursing policy, strategy, practice and quality. Under Swick’s leadership, the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) recognized Atrium Health with its notable 2022 Prism Award. “Today’s healthcare leaders need support in gathering and using actionable analytics – it’s as important on the operational side as translating evidence into practice is on the clinical side of our work,” said Swick, who retires at the end of March.

Brace and Swick join seven other industry thought leaders on the committee, including:

  • Dale E. Beatty, Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President, Stanford Health Care
  • Daniel L. Gross, Retired Executive Vice President of Sharp Health Care
  • Ninfa M. Saunders, Retired President and CEP of Navicent Health
  • Mark Solazzo, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Northwell Health
  • Nancy Pratt, Senior Vice President of Clinical Product Development at Clinicomp International
  • William A. Spooner, Retired Senior Vice President and CIO at Sharp Healthcare
  • Darren Walker, Former Chief People Officer at Sanford Health and current Founder of Soundmind Leadership

Laudio’s recently appointed Chief Clinical Advisor Joel Ray will host an upcoming webinar (Caring is Good Business: Apply Swanson’s Caring Theory to the Employee Experience) on March 30th at 2pm ET to share highlights from his latest paper on the Swanson Caring Theory’s impact on patient experience. The former CNO of UNC Rex Healthcare and co-author Deb Stargardt will bring their patient experience expertise to this discussion on how the same model can be used to improve the employee experience.
